The 2026 AADES Conference will take place at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, 3-4 September 2026 - bringing together distance and virtual educators from across Australasia for two days of inspiration, innovation and connection.

This biennial event is where online and distance education leaders gather to explore the future of learning. Our 2026 themes - Lead, Learn, Thrive - celebrate the passion of educators who are reimagining what's possible in digital and virtual spaces, humanising technology, and empowering students to succeed now and into the future.

Join us for keynote addresses and masterclasses featuring international and Australasian experts, sharing cutting-edge research and insights on the evolving landscape of distance and virtual learning. 

Explore dynamic workshop streams that showcase next practice from schools across our community - and watch for your opportunity to share your own work when submissions open in early 2026. 

Celebrate excellence at the AADES Awards Dinner on Thursday, 3 September, included in your two-day registration. Award nomination details will be announced in March 2026.
